Day 1 Reflection: The Scream

It's the first day, and I am not going to mince words, I am overwhelmed! I know I am not the only one as I've just heard someone say, "I'm gonna eat... and I'm gonna cry." I feel the same way.

As I reflect on what I have to do, I am praying that I did not bite more than I could chew.

I am a full time teacher for DOE, a Grad student with 3 classes in total, a very active member in my church and a youth ministry, and I have a personal life. I don't plan on ruining any one of these.

Sink or swim? I will do my best, yes... But all I'm asking for is a lot of compassion and prayers. Sweet Jesus, help me!

  3. Its nice to see you guys again. I was able to relax so I'm feeling positive now. We have the support from Dr. Rivera and from us so I'm sure we can handle it. If anyone of you feel like their sinking I have extra live vest for you!:) We can do this TOGETHER.

  5. Hi Ruth! It's relieving to read that many of us had similar reactions to the syllabus and calendar of events. But the support from everyone was the best part of it all.

It was great meeting you today in the hallway. You have an awesome personality and I am looking forward to working with you this semester.

    1. Thanks so much Jodi! You are immensely sweet. I was thinking that meeting you in the hallway right before class was one of those serendipitous events of my day. Your positivity encouraged me to be more likewise, although, I got to admit that I like to honestly talk about my feelings. Hehehe... But everyone's positive vibes helped me to look positively at the situation more. Thank you again!
